What to Expect During Your La Lancha Surf Lesson
Our La Lancha surf experience is a 4-hour adventure that combines professional surf instruction with a beautiful jungle beach setting.
01 Meet at our surf shop in Sayulita
We meet at our shop around 1:45 PM where you'll meet your instructor and get fitted with your board and rash guard before heading out.
02 Jungle ride to La Lancha
From Sayulita we drive about 25 minutes south along the Riviera Nayarit coastline in our open-top trucks to reach La Lancha Beach — a beautiful surf spot between Sayulita and Punta de Mita.
03 Beach instruction
Once we arrive your instructor will guide you through the basics on the beach — paddling technique, how to pop up, and how to position yourself on the wave.
04 Surf time
Then it's time to paddle out. Your instructor will be right there in the water with you, helping you catch waves and giving tips along the way.
05 Relax and enjoy the beach
After the lesson you'll have time to relax on the beach, practice on your own, or enjoy the waves before we head back to Sayulita

What to Bring
Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, water and snacks, and cash if you'd like to tip your instructor. Leave valuables at your accommodation — your belongings will remain on the beach during the lesson. We provide the surfboard, rash guard, and all instruction.
