We'll guide you through the process, from payment options for the deposit to what you should bring for the lesson.

    While we recommend booking in advance to secure your spot, you can also show up at the departure time, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
  • Where can I leave my stuff during the lesson/rental?
    We provide lockers (bring your own lock) for your belongings while you're out enjoying your lesson or rental. You can trust that your items are safely stored during your surfing experience. For the surf trips we advise you to leave any valuables at the accommodation and just bring the necessary money.
  • Can I request a specific instructor?
    While we cannot guarantee specific instructors, we'll do our best to accommodate requests based on availability.
  • Can I choose my own board?
    Absolutely! When you arrive for your lesson or rental, you have the freedom to choose your own surfboard based on your skill level and preferences. Our experienced staff is there to assist you in selecting the right board, especially if you're unsure. We're dedicated to ensuring you have the best equipment for an enjoyable surfing experience.
  • How many people are typically in a group lesson?
    We maintain a lower instructor-to-student ratio (4:1) to ensure personalized attention and effective learning.
  • How many surf breaks are there in the area?
    There are several surf breaks in the area, each offering unique conditions suitable for different skill levels.
  • Are there options for advanced surfers or those with more experience?
    Absolutely! We offer advanced lessons and provide a range of high-performance surfboards for experienced surfers.
  • How long does the lesson take?
    Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your level. Beginner lessons start with a 20 minute on sand instruction before they'll head into the water (1,5 hours) For those who are advanced+, we ask for a quick on land skill check before we head to the water (1,5 hours)
  • What is the structure of the lesson?
    We start with a 20-minute on-beach instruction covering board positioning, paddling techniques, safety, wave-reading, and more. After this warm-up, you’ll head to the water, catching waves with your instructor for 1.5 hours. For those with experience, we conduct a quick land-check of your skills to make any necessary adjustments. If all looks good, you’ll continue in the water for another 1.5 hours. If you have a lesson package, the entire session (1.5 hrs) is spent in the water after the first day.
  • Do you need to know how to surf before?
    No prior surfing experience is required. Our lessons cater to all skill levels, including beginners.
  • Are the lessons private or in a group?
    We offer both private and group lessons. You can choose the option that best suits your preferences.
  • From what age can we book a surf lesson?
    We welcome surf enthusiasts of ages above 5+. Participants under 18 require parental consent.
  • What is included in the lesson?
    Our surf lessons include professional instruction, necessary equipment (surfboard and rash guard), transportation to/from the breaks in Punta de Mita, and a memorable time in the waves.
  • Do you have to swim?
    Basic swimming skills are recommended for your safety.

    Our surf breaks in the area vary, featuring a mix of sandy bottoms and rocky formations. Our instructors will explain the break to you before entering the water.
  • What happens if it's raining on the day of my lesson?
    Surf lessons are generally rain or shine. However, in case of severe weather conditions, we'll communicate any changes or cancellations.
  • How do you determine if the conditions are suitable for a lesson or rental?

    There is a beachside shower available for rinsing off. It's located just before you head back onto the street. We aim to ensure you have everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable surfing experience.
