Your Questions, Answered

Yes — basic swimming ability is required for all surfers, including children. You don't need to be an Olympic swimmer, but you should be comfortable in the water

We teach all levels — complete beginners through to advanced surfers. Your instructor will tailor the session to where you are.

You can book a private lesson solo. For group lessons we need at least 3 people — if you're traveling alone we can try to match you with other guests when availability allows.

The Bahia surf trip requires a minimum of 4 people. If you're a smaller group, contact us and we'll see if we can match you with other guests.

Yes — solo travelers are welcome on La Lancha group trips. We'll add you to an existing group.

If conditions at La Lancha aren't suitable we may adjust to a nearby break along the Punta de Mita coastline to make sure you get the best possible session.

Yes — board rentals are available to anyone. No lesson required. Walk into our shop and our team will help you choose the right board.

Water temperature in Sayulita is warm year-round — typically 24–28°C — so wetsuits aren't needed. Rash guards are included with lessons and available for rental separately.

Our shop is on Calle Pelicanos 5B, in the center of Sayulita alongside the river, a short walk from the main beach. Open daily 9 AM–6 PM.
