ABOUT

LET'S START FROM THE VERY BEGINNING...

Marea Surf School started in 2017 with an umbrella and 4 surfboards on the main beach in Sayulita. Two years later, not only have we upgraded the umbrella to a tent, but we also have our very own store. We are extremely passionate about what we do and are very excited to meet you. See you in Sayulita!

MIGUEL

Miguel grew up surfing from a very young age in Acapulco. Now, he has called Sayulita home for the last 6+ years. He's always willing to help customers find the best tacos and loves to share his favourite surf spots in Mexico. Come by the shop and see for yourself.

MAUI

Half Hawaiian and half Mexican, Maui was born and raised in Mexico. This guy — lives and breaths surfing! So, if you want to have a good time and learn to surf he is your guy! When he isn’t in the water, you’ll find him spearfishing or working those abs.

MARCOS

Meet Marcos! Born and raised in Mexico City, he joined the Marea Surf School team about 6 months ago. He traded his robotic engineering skills for a life on the beach. Best decision ever, right?

SILJE

Born and raised in Norway, this girl is the real deal. For the past 7 years, she has called Mexico home. Based in Sayulita, she is now our go-to girl for anything Spanish. Need Spanish lessons, anyone?
